Depp’s Sweeney Todd was a complex character who was driven by his need for revenge. He was a man who had been wronged by the judicial system and was out for blood. His anger and hatred were palpable, and yet there was still a sense of pity and sympathy for him. Depp managed to capture all of these different facets of the character and create a truly memorable performance.

Dr. Caster is then shot by a anti-technology terrorist group and he is left for dead. However, his wife, Evelyn (Rebecca Hall), uploads his consciousness into the machine, effectively making him immortal.
